The story behind Kids Fun Connection

Our event child care and youth entertainment company is a family owned and operated business. In 1996 we were incorporated in Kentucky and have served the special events needs of both corporate and private clients ever since. Many of our clients call upon us repeatedly and we value the trust and confidence they place in us as we care for and entertain their children and youth year after year.

Carolyn Johnson plans and personally supervises all Kids Fun Connection services. She is a graduate of the University of Kentucky and received her M.S. at the University of Louisville. Carolyn has over twenty-five years professional experience including Head Start director, children's minister, family day care home provider, day care center director, and preschool teacher. In 1989 Carolyn first provided on-site services for a national convention.

Mrs. Johnson and her husband, Rich, are the proud parents of three adult children - Amy, Adam and Mark. Carolyn loves to create experiences for children and youth and share their joy as they learn and have fun at the same time. In the words of Bob Russell, Senior Minister of Southeast Christian Church, "She has a love for children and is committed to excellence in all she does."

Our staff is primarily composed of adults and college students. Occasionally we will use mature high school students in assisting roles with children. Staff members are personally selected and interviewed by our owner. References are required before employment. Many of our employees are individuals that our family has known for years. They are chosen for their ability to interact warmly and have fun with the children and youth while still maintaining the highest health and safety standards.

We provide on-site special event child care and youth entertainment for business and social occasions. Our programs vary from basic child care to elaborate theme parties. Our goal is to serve the meeting planner or event coordinator by assuring that every invited guest is able to attend, enable parents to participate in adult events knowing their children and youth are safe and happy, and provide the kids with a healthy, warm, fun environment. Our clients choose their event site and we provide the program at that site or a nearby location of the client's choosing.

For each event in which we participate Kids Fun Connection provides program planning, equipment, supplies, and necessary staff. Programs are specifically designed to meet the stated needs of our clients and their children or youth. We work with our clients to stay within their special event budget and to take the work out of including children and youth in their planning.

We carefully select all activities with safety and fun in mind. Staff follows stringent health and safety procedures. Each event is staffed by first-aid and CPR trained staff. Our adult/staff ratios meet or exceed national standards for child care. We never "baby-sit"! Warm, fun, active involvement with the kids is standard with Kids Fun Connection.

We also provide In-hotel Family Child Care services for parents traveling with their children in the Kentucky and Southern Indiana area.
